Kadoka and Long Valley Middle School Students Compete at SD State Junior High Finals Rodeo

Congratulations to the students from Kadoka Middle School and Long Valley Middle School on their performances this past weekend at the South Dakota State Junior High Finals Rodeo.

Students placing at the regional level (left to right) were: Hatlynn Harvey – 5th in Pole Bending; CeCe Cowan – 5th in Ribbon Roping; Hinsley Harvey – 4th in Goat Tying and 9th in Breakaway Roping; Tate Bachand – 4th in Breakaway Roping, 5th in Bareback Riding, and 8th in Team Roping; Bryler Mitchell – 5th in Ribbon Roping and 5th in Tie-Down Roping; Blane Mitchell – 4th in Bareback Riding and 13th in Bull Riding; Rollie Ohrtman – 9th in Chute Dogging and 11th in Goat Tying; and CeCe Cowan - 11th in Pole Bending.

Advancing to Nationals are Hinsley Harvey in Goat Tying, Tate Bachand in Breakaway Roping, and Blane Mitchell in Bareback Riding. Congratulations to all of these students on an outstanding rodeo season and best of luck to those competing at Nationals.
