Greetings Third Graders!

  I would like to take this time to welcome you to 3^rd grade and to our classroom. My name is Mrs. Roghair and I will be your teacher this year. I am excited to meet you and learn about you over the next year. This will be my twelfth year teaching for the Kadoka Area School District. I spent my first two years teaching first and second grade combination class down in our Interior Elementary School and have spent the last nine years teaching third grade here in Kadoka. Let me share a few things about myself so you will know a little about me before you come to school.

  I am originally from Wisconsin, and I graduated with a Bachelors in Elementary Education and a Minor in k-8 School Health Education from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. I moved to South Dakota nine years ago with my husband, who grew up in South Dakota. During my time away from school I enjoy spending time with my husband, my 6-year-old and 3 ½ year old boys, and extended family and friends, being outdoors, and traveling. Some of my favorites include: dark chocolate, cats and kittens, the color purple, potatoes, snuggling babies, and teaching! Once school starts I am excited to learn all about you and what things you like to do. Along with getting to know you I am excited to hear from you and learn about the exciting things you experienced while away from school this summer. I had a fun summer spending time with my boys, was able to go to Wisconsin to visit my family and friends. I am now working hard at getting our classroom ready for the start of school. I am looking forward to meeting you the first day of school!!!!
