    SD Association of Plumbing, Heating & Cooling Contractors Educational Foundation$500 to $1,000.  Open to high school seniors or college freshmen who wish to have a career in the PHC industry.  Application must be typed and you must be sponsored by a member of the organization.--Due Dec 31

    Black Hills Stock Show Foundation an Ag degree; Based on academics, personal, essay, financial need and ACT scores.  Deadline Dec. 10th

    Halz la U Scholarships--This program, launched in partnership with the Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF), aims to award educational grants to eligible Hispanic students pursuing higher education.  Hispanic Heritage Month is a national celebration of Hispanic achievements, contributions and culture.

    American Quarter Horse Association:  $500 to $1000, for students showing involvement with AQHA for the last two years, FFA or 4-H required, interested in animal science study preferably equine science, top 20% of graduating class and/or high Dec 1

    CME Beef Industry Scholarship-Ten scholarships of $1,000 will be awarded to outstanding students who are pursuing careers in the beef industry including:  education, communications, production, research or any other area involved with the beef industry.  Purpose to identify and encourage talented students wo will emerge as industy leaders.  Applicants must be a graduating high school senior or full-time undergraduate student enrolled at a two-or four-year institution for the upcoming academic year. Deadline Dec. 9th

    Black Hills State University-Spearfish-applications availabe at Dec 15

    Alliance for Young Artists and Writers (Scholastic Art) Awards:  260 awards of $4000, to study art, photography or writing.  Students submit portfolios and photos of their work for review. Dec 15

    James Carmichael Memorial Scholarship-$500- HS senior or college student, from SD, ND, MT, WY, or NE, involved in ag activities such as Jr. Hereford Association, 4-H, FFA Deadline Dec 15

    Foot Locker Scholar Athletes-20 @ $20,000 each, HS Senior involved in some type of sport (high school, intramural, community), minimum .0 GPA, attend college this fall; essay questions Deadline Dec 15

    Sallie Mae Make College Happen Scholarship-HS Students ages 14-18; creatively answer "How do you plan to pay for college?"  Entries can be in the form of a video, photo, essay, song or poem Deadline Dec 31

    Science Ambassador$40,00-1 Award, To be eligible for the scholarship a student must:  A) You must be a high school senior or an undergraduate student, B) You must attend a school in the US.-Deadline December 14

    Edison Scholars$40,000-30 Awards, To be eligible for the scholarship a student must:  A) Must be a high school senior with at least a cumulative 3.0 GPA, plan to pursue students in the STEM fields at a four-year accredited college or university and show financial need.  Eligible STEM majors include computer and information systems, engineering, engineering technology, management information systems, mathematics, natural resources and conservation and physical sciences.--Deadline December 14th
